    brown juice…

    By Kyle | January 10, 2007

I came to love coffee at a young age. My hero, my Dad introduced me to “brown juice” when I was two years old. It was McDonalds coffee. Good starter coffee with lead (caffine). After he would get his large cup of brew all doctored up he would dip the creamer cup and hand it to me. It is one of my earliest memories. Even then it gave me the same feeling it does now. Security and happiness. My morning coffee takes third place on my list of “first things I do” behind: kissing my wife good morning, and opening my favorite copy of the Word. I am thankful to God for creating the little fruit in which the bean comes from. I am thankful for the first person to dicover coffee, the fact that you can take that bean, grind it up, and pour hot water over it to become “brown juice”. Most of all I am thankful to my hero for dipping those creamer cups of coffee for me.

Lord willing I will have a son in mid-May. Come spring of 2009 you can bet on the fact that after I get my brew all doctored up I’ll be getting K2 (Kyle the second), a third generation started on the “brown juice”.

I sure have happy memories of all the times we have used coffee for a good excuse to be together, talk about life and love and the Lord. By the way, I got all the way home Monday night without any coffee, can you imagine.
