God’s Greatest Gift
By Kyle | May 24, 2007
On Wednesday May 16, 2007 at 6:56am God from His throne in heaven chose to bless me and Elizabeth with His greatest gift. A beautiful little boy was given to us in a small room on the fourth floor of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Our prayers were answered, everyone is healthy. I am thankful to our Sweet Lord and Savior. All glory belongs to Jesus.
As I sat in the postpartum room for the next 48 hours and held my “little, future man” my mind raced ahead to all the dreams that it holds for him. I thought of the many “small things” that I want to experience with him like, Hermans Brothers coffee and the Rockford farm market, the landing of an Upper Peninsula wild brookie, many stout cup of coffee, early morning runs, devotions at the kitchen table, a strong embrace, conversation around the campfire, North Manitou Island, Lake Michigan. I also thought of Life and how precious it is. I thought of the eternal life that Jesus gives. Life truly is the greatest gift God can give us.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that who ever believes in Him would not perish, but have everlasting LIFE.” John 3:16
“Lord, help me to raise this little boy into a man that one day enters into the eternal life that you gave your Son for. Help me to raise him to bring you glory all his days. Help me to raise him to love the gospel. Help me to raise him to love you more than anything else. Thank you for entrusting your greatest gift to us.”
I would put pictures up, but my mother does so much better than I can. For pictures visit her site at www.xanga.com/loispics

You have no idea the joy that exploded in my heart when I read this post. My dream and vision for multiple generations of faithfulness to God is becoming a reality. I preached on the shore of Lake Superior today…. I wish you and Kyle Kenneth could have been there. Someday maybe we can do that. Can you imagine the Manitous and Fishtown with the brothers and wee Kyle?
