The Rebelution

Last weekend was the Rebelution conference in Greenwood, IN. I eagerly took twenty-five teens and adults including four families from the youth group to attend this wonderful conference. Everything I have seen produced by the Harris family has been of the best quality and substance. This conference was no exception.
The theme of the Rebelution is “Do Hard Things”. It was wonderful to sit and watch the Sr. High kids in my youth group soak up the sessions from 18 year old Alex and Brett. I smiled as parents and teens came back to their seats after breaks with quality resources from the book tables. It was even better to sit and listen to them share the next night, in front of their peers at youth group, the things the Lord taught them. There are few places in our day that offer sound, biblical teaching aimed at teens. Not many are giving the message that God does expect great exploits from teenagers. It is not easy to find a venue that offers more than a concert with a pithy preaching session tacked on. I thank God for what Alex and Brett are doing with this ministry.
I would urge parents and teens to join the Rebelution by following the Blog, buying to book soon to be published by Alex and Brett entitled “Do Hard Things”, (you can pre-order the book on Amazon), and plan on attending next years conference tour.
Thank God for raising up those who minister to His glory and not man’s.
